Briztronix - Don't Leave (ft Chris O'Neill) >> BrisbaneBeatsBoyz

After an 11-year hiatus, seminal underground hip-hop act Briztronix roars back with their fourth studio album, simply titled 'IV'. This is the first single from the new Briztronix LP "IV" (LP due Sept 01 2018).

Founded in 2000 in Brisbane by primary school friends Ben Eltham and DJ Bacon, Briztronix became one of the best-loved underground beat makers that formed in the Australian hip-hop explosion of the late 90s and early millennia. The group released an EP and two cult albums in the 2000s to wide airplay and considerable acclaim, touring nationally supporting the likes of The Herd, Hermitude, Buck 65 and Grandmaster Flash and winning a Big Sound Q Song Award for best hip-hop single in 2007.
Now, after taking time off to have kids and work on their real careers, Briztronix are back with one of the freshest underground beats releases of 2018. Briztronix are officially joined on this album by Melbourne electronica producer RUFFLES (Dub Temple Records). All instrumental and harking back to the glory days of 90s illbient hip-hop such as DJ Shadow and DJ Krush, IV by Briztronix builds a rich musical soundscape complete with the incredible scratches of DJ Bacon and live drums from session drummer Chris O'Neill (Mia Dyson). Band leader DJ Bacon is fresh from making international waves with his mashups of famed 80s acts like Public Enemy, Run DMC and Ice-T, gaining airplay in the US from none other than Chuck D on his LA radio show and shout outs from Ice-T on social media. Briztronix 'IV' is the band's most assured release yet, teleporting listeners back to the halcyon era of 90s underground hip-hop in the style of DJ Shadow, DJ Kursh, Coldcut and Hermitude.

About this track...

'Don't Leave' is an uptempo beats explosion featuring the incredible session drumming of Chris O'Neill. In the style of Emma Donovan and the Put-backs or The Bamboos, but with some sinister synths in the mix.
